Sick of Girls

The other day Nathan informed me that I should be the one to work so that he wouldn't have to be with all girls.

Tonight as I was putting Nathan and Audrey to bed Audrey was praying and said she was grateful we could stay up and "play games." I had already told her several times that we were not going to stay up to play Go Fish. So I actually cut her off while praying and talked to her about prayers not being big wishes, especially when we have already been given instruction from parents.

Nathan then told me that he said a prayer by himself last night without anyone else. SMILE. I was so happy to hear that. I then told him that made me happy and I am glad he likes to pray by himself too. He got this huge smile on his face and then informed me that I am going to have another boy because he prayed to have a brother. (We are not having any more children and have taken measures to ensure that.) I then went on to explain that to him and said that as long as Mommy and Daddy are married we cannot have any more children. So naturally Nathan wondered what would happen if we were separate. I broke the poor kid's heart as I went on to tell him that we are staying married and he is not going to have a brother but encouraged him to have a lot of friends. He is just sick of being with all girls.

Awww, he can come play with Drew and Nick anytime. I feel bad that we are leaving soon. I asked Drew today if he was excited or scared to move and he said "no, sad. I'll miss Nathan Beadle" :( Nick agreed. We will miss you guys. We'll just have to stay in touch.

I think a boy-time play date is in order.
