Moving
After we found out that we were definitely moving we decided Ryan would leave by himself to begin work and the kids and I would follow at the end of the school year. Since then I have regretted that we did not just all move down at spring break. I have also thought that perhaps I would pack the car, take the kids and come back to move when we are scheduled. Now we are on a different plan.
After a terrible day of events yesterday, I called the truck company and asked if I could move up the date. They happily accommodated without a charge! The truck arrives next week and by the weekend I will be on my way to Naples. This will give Nathan a chance to start school there and hopefully make some friends for the summer. All in all, I believe the kids will transition well. I need to get this move over with and not let it loom over us for the next five weeks and the girls desperately miss their daddy.
Wish us luck and if you happen to be here and want to help, that would be fantastic.

Easter
This year Easter was a bit different for our family. The kids were on spring break the week before Easter. I have had planned for months that the kids and I would be in Florida for spring break. As it turned out, all of the changes in our life worked to our advantage for a vacation that included Daddy too.
We spent the week in Venice (and Naples as Ryan and I were driving back and forth for a couple of days). At the end of the week we headed to Orlando where we were joined by Rosie, Zach, Alaina and Sandy. We spent three nights at the Nickelodeon Hotel and two days in Sea World. It was a fun time and the timing helped as we were having a ton of fun and were super busy so we did not focus on the separation that was going to take place.
Imagine my surprise when I opened the hotel room door to see a beautiful sky with hot air balloons.
She was not included in coloring the eggs this year...but she didn't care.
Elysse did get to decorate a cookie though.
Okay, okay I know. I am a bit "anti mess" but the kids didn't mind at all.
One finished product that was captured before being devoured!
Once the Easter Basket was on the ground, the chocolate had no chance. Check out her cheek.
After initial disappointment with clothing in the basket Audrey discovered that she too received a chocolate bunny. She claims it is her first...
Glad to be woken up for a surprise!

Kid Funnies
Nathan: Mom how old is our car?
Mom: 8 years old
Nathan: when was it born?
Mom: 2004
Nathan: I think it is still 7 (he was born 8/20/2004)
Audrey: when our car was 1, was it small?
Audrey goes into bathroom and starts pulling her pants down...
Mom: generally people close the door when they go to the bathroom.
Audrey starts to close the door and then opens it back up (pants around her ankles)
Audrey: what are general people?
